Noosa is a favorite place of mine, and I have fond memories of spending time there with my teenage daughter. Noosa has become a tourist mecca but if you leave the busy streets, fancy shops and the crowds behind to head up the hills into the National Park, then you are rewarded with stunning and secluded beach vistas. In this painting, I wanted to capture the shadows created by the pandanus palms along the boardwalk leading to a hidden beach. A special place that would otherwise be missed without noticing this play of light and dark.
